Huntington Beach is more than a place—it’s home. I grew up with the waves, the salty air, the endless horizon, and this series is a reflection of that deep connection. The lack of color allowed me to focus on form and feeling—the way the ocean glows under the sun, the textured footprints in the sand, the silhouettes of surfers waiting for the next set. Nostalgia guided every frame, each shot an attempt to capture not just the place but the memories woven into it. Shooting on film made me more intentional, adjusting for shifting light and reflective water, knowing that every exposure was a piece of my past frozen in time. In black and white, the beach becomes something dreamlike—timeless, quiet, and infinite, just as I’ve always known it.
